Sowerby Art Deco Uranium Glass 2570 Bowl & Frog
A pressed glass ‘rose’ bowl by SOWERBY Glass, Gateshead., plus original 19-hole, slightly-domed, ‘block’ or frog. This particular example is of green uranium glass, fluorescing bright yellow-green under UV / ‘black’ light. Dating from the late 1930s. 10.1mm tall to top rim of bowl, 11.7mm tall to top of frog; top bowl rim diameter 13.2mm; total weight of 1.132kg (bowl alone 608g, frog alone 524g).
