Enameled Decoration

This is a plate enameled in the Coreopsis, Ferns and Arbors pattern by the American company, Wheeling Decorating Co. The rim of the plate was first etched to give it the underlying pattern then gilt and enameled. There's a band of blue around the rim on the bottom so that the unenameled areas of the decoration on top appear blue.
