Davidson Pattern No. 696 C, S/696 C and 699 C Flower Sets – 3 pieces
Davidson Pattern No. 699 C, 696 C and S/696 C Flower Sets – 3 pieces – as shown in their 1931 catalogue. (“C” = rim is vertical).

Known Cloud Colours: Amber, Blue, Purple, Green, Orange.

Size(s): 7" (S/696), 8.5" (696), 10" (699) Diameter.

Date Range: 1925 (?) to 1940.

The 696 and 699 series were the largest three piece flower sets that Davidson made. The first reference to these flower sets appears in a 'Buyers Notes' article in the November 1925 edition of the 'Pottery Gazette and Glass Trades review'. They were therefore probably introduced that year. The S/696 C variant was not made until 1937 and was only in production for one year (in Amber and Green Cloud Glass only). The 699 C also does not appear to have been made in Orange Cloud Glass.

The 696 and 699 sets both came with a No 2 plinth. The S/696 a No 1 Plinth. The S/696, 696 and 699 came with 4", 5" and 5.5" flower domes respectively.
