Henry Greener unregistered design #011 'Marquis of Lorne' ?goblet
A green and white marbled glass ?goblet; 1st lion trademark (1875-1885), but no RD lozenge.

This design commemorates the visit to Canada of Princess Louise and her husband the Marquis of Lorne in November 1878, the Marquis having been made Governor-General in July 1878. Especially made with the Canadian market in mind: it had British floral national emblems as its backgound, and is embellished with finely executed medallion likenesses of Her Royal Highness and the Marquis.
